FAQ
Questions, answered.
The short answers. Still wondering? Email hello@polyoptra.com and a person will reply.
What does Polyoptra connect to?
Google Analytics 4 (including Google Ads results, where the property is linked to Google Ads), Google Search Console and the Chrome UX Report (real-visitor page speed), for every property your connected Google accounts can see.
Can it change anything in my Google account?
No. Access is read-only, so it can read your data but cannot edit your analytics, properties or sites. Refresh tokens are encrypted at rest.
What does "gone dark" mean?
A site whose tracking has stopped sending data. Polyoptra flags it with the date the data ran out ("Signal lost, no data since ..."), instead of showing a misleading zero. It also marks stale data and accounts that need reconnecting, and never draws a day that has not synced yet as a drop.
Does it check that my sites are up?
Yes, on the Agency and Scale plans. Every site is checked every 10 minutes, and an outage is confirmed with a second check before it is called, so a single blip never sets off an alarm. When a site goes down, the card turns red and moves to the front of the grid, and the workspace's owners get one email, plus another when it is back with how long it was out. The site page lists every outage and what failed, ready to paste into a hosting support ticket. You also get a warning 14 and 7 days before an SSL certificate expires, and 30 and 7 days before a domain is due for renewal. If you pay for a separate uptime checker today, that is one less tool.
Can my clients see their own numbers?
Yes, on the Agency and Scale plans, in two ways. A monthly client report, branded with your logo and colour, is emailed to the client as a link they open with their own password. It leads with Ads conversions, cost per conversion and spend, then their website's visits, enquiries and top pages. You choose whether it sends itself or waits for you to check it. A share link is a live, read-only page for one site or a group of sites that updates with every scan. Clients never see your Google accounts or your other sites.
How fresh is the data?
Scans run automatically every night, and you can press Scan now whenever you want fresh numbers.
Is it built for agencies and teams?
It is built for anyone with many sites, including agencies, multi-site owners and franchise groups. Workspaces support invites, owner and member roles, and several Google accounts at once.
What does it cost?
There is a free plan for up to 3 sites, and paid plans from $24 a month (billed annually) for more sites. New workspaces get a 14-day trial of the Agency plan with no card. See the pricing section for the details.
Can I turn the robot off?
Yes. ARGUS-9 animates scans for fun, and you can switch it off.
